GE Dishwasher not draining completely
I have a 1year old GE profile dishwasher pdwt180r30ss just out of warranty. It drains but does not drain completely. It leaves about an inch of water above the
rough filter screen. I cleaned out the sump, found alot of food particles and paper bits. Still not draining completely. When new it would drain well below this filter screen. I am thinking of pull it out and checking for a blockage in the drain pump. It cleans and washes well but I think this is a problem. Any thoughts are appreciated.

Well I can answer my own post. I pulled the dishwasher and flipped it over. I checked the drain hose for obstruction found none, Next I disconnected the clamp holding the drain pump. When I checked the pump I found an obstruction
between the pump and the back flow flapper. The obstruction was a piece of plastic and a piece of a vegtable. Re installed dishwasher and it works like new.
Like to say I saved $300. service call. This was a easy fix other than pulling the DW.
