Kenmore 110.23832100 no spin issue

I've got the above noted washer. It has been having an issue with the spin after the wash. What I have observed is that it will wash, drain, and when it is supposed to start the spin, it just makes a noise, no spin. If I reach in and give it a push, then pull the handle to turn it off, it will brake or stop, then if I push it back on it will spin. Once I do this it will spin and do the deal, goes fast and pushes out a bit more water.

Any ideas on what could be the issue? I'd like to fix it if I can.

Thank you!

Tilt washer back against wall and look under it. About 6nches up around cabinet see if there is a streak of oil. If there you need a gearcase top seal, clutch and drive coupler.

How confident these are the items necessary to fix?
I ask because I find it strange that it will spin fine the first times around, but the last cycle seems to be hit or miss.
There is a small line of oil, so I am not doubting the seal, and the drive coupler seems like a given based on all the other posts I've read. I wonder about clutch though...???

Oil travels up the shaft into the clutch. (reason it does not spin) You might be able to clean it with brake clean but you have it in your hand when apart so I always change it.

Finally did it, running the first wash now.
Spin cycle is spinning like a mofo, brake stops quickly.

Can't say yet if the seals I also replaced are doing anything, but its working.

Hopefully its not strange for me to be excited to have a washer that works good again.

Thanks for your help and info!
