I'm not following you. Is the ice tray overflowing ?
Or.....are you talking about the drinking water thru the door feature.

On most fridges the drinking water feature is controlled by an electric solenoid which is mounted in the bottom rear of the fridge where the water line enters. With a model number of the fridge we could point you in the right direction for the part if your contemplating changing it yourself.

I doubt it would be the switch. It's more likely to be the water inlet valve not sealing properly.

Sorry....this is a forum....we don't contact directly by email. That being said, what exactly is the problem? Does the water drip or is it coming out like you were hitting the switch and demanding water ? Changing the valve was a good start but if the water is coming out full force and changing the valve didn't help then it means an electrical issue. I'm out on the road so I can't check out the details on your fridge but I will when I get home tonight.
Is that a soft touch button for water or an arm that the glass hits ?
Is the ice dispenser working normally ?

Sorry.....storm in NJ had me offline for a while. Do you mean to say that with no power.....the fridge unplugged....you still get water out of the door ?? If that's the case then there is a situation there with the valve pack. With no power those valves (one feeds ice maker and one feeds water in door) should not allow water to flow.

Ok.......there are two possible causes for this problem. One is the control board which is mounted behind the switches or the water switch itself. I have the specs on the control board but I can't find any info on the switches. Is it a completely smooth glass panel or is there actually a switch that moves ? I have exploded views of the door but the switch area is useless.
The control board is around 145.00 so we need to make sure what exactly is bad.

Maytag Refrigerator MZD2665HES Complete Parts List
That is the view of your door. Part # 17 is the control board. You're going to need to open up door to get to that board. You'll need to see if there is a wiring between that board and the switches. My guess is that the switches are part of that board. If that's the case then the control board needs to be replaced. If the switches plug into that board try unplugging them. I can't be of much more help because my service info doesn't show that part of the door. Hope this helps and I'll keep my eye out for this thread.
Clicking on part # 14 takes you to switch faceplate.....instructions there for removal.

TO PJ MAX,Dear PJ are you absolutely sure that the Circuit board is the defective part?Ive already spent $65 for a new supply valve&I dont want to be out $145 if this isnt the problem! Please respond! Thank U!Jim fh

No....I am not absolutely sure the board is bad. I know how to troubleshoot electronic circuitry down to component level but that's something I can't teach you. I asked you a question in my previous post. Do the switches in the door that control water and ice connect to the control board with wire or are the switches right on the control board.

This was in the link I left you previously. It looks likr it may be just 2 hex head screws.
