GE front load washer
Front load washer will only fill on cold when using the hot or warm setting will not fill and then pauses, could this be the hot valve and is it easy to replace. Door is also leaking how hard is it to replace the seal. Should I just replace

Post model # so we can see what washer you have. Most door boots can be done from outside without taking front off, but it you have never done one I would suggest taking front off so you can see what you are doing. Need to see washer to tell about fill valve, Usually are fairly easy to change just take top off. Most GE's you have to take plastic trim off front top and screws from back of top.

There's a perfect You Tube post on this line of machines. In the first 25 seconds they show the back of the machine and the connection end to the fill valve is clearly visible and are the two round blue things. The video shows you how to pull the machine apart for service. In my next post I'll leave a link to the parts site for you

The door gasket seat is part # PS1766023 looks to be around 137.00
