Siemens washer jumps through cycles

I have a Siemens washer that after loaded and the wash cycle is set, the door will lock, it will fill with water, then drain right out and that ends the washers job.
Any idea what would cause this?

First off......we need a model number. Sounds like a control timer issue.

Strange problem........is this a mechanical timer model or electronic touch screen ?

Sounds like a SUPER water saver model

Hi,

the model # is WFXD 5200 UC/01. The type is WAM1.

This washer has the touch screen. And your right about the water saver model. This is the first problem I have had since I owned it, about six or seven years

I have never heard of your washer but I just googled your model # and it looks just like a Bosch. Sounds like a control issue and I have never run into your problem on Bosch. But I hardly ever see one. Take off top or lower panel there might be a tech sheet in there that may help if not written in German. Have run into that.
