Washing machine door lock checking

Is it possible to check if the door lock of a washing machine is damage by connecting two wires in the connector?

I assume that the door lock has two functions: a switch that feels if the door is locked and a lock.

The door lock us Metalflex ZV-446 and it has 3 wires.

Thank you all.

Your assumption on the operation of the switch is correct.

However, how to test it may be a little tricky. Since that is a non-US machine that it's used in I can't comment on its connections. I tried online searches and only found an incomplete schematic.

If you can post a pic of the wiring diagram for your machine I'll be glad to help you further. That diagram is usually somewhere inside the machine.......maybe on back cover.

Wiring diagram

I couldn't find my machine diagram.
I searched and found a diagram of other machine that has the same door lock.

Is it helpful?

Thank you.

Beautiful pic. Display looks like a car dashboard but unfortunately it's of no help to us.

We can see the door lock/switch and we can see the the three wires on it but they go to a power board. Without knowing the wiring on the power board I can't tell what wires do what.

I find a million mentions of that switch online but not a single pictorial diagram of it or its operation.

I'm still searching for an answer.

ON EDIT: In cruisng around I found this site. See if this helps you in your servicing. You never mentioned what the original problem was.

The N is usually neutral but without a diagram can't tell what does what.
