Noisy Whirlpool washer

My Whirlpool Model #LT7100XVWO Thin Twin Large Capacity Washer makes a lot of noise during the agitation cycle; especially during agitation when water is still loading and also during spin cycles. Sounds like something mechanical is rattling and/or wearing out. Had it for 20 years and this noise just started last couple of weeks. Is there a throw-out bearing, or clutch bearing (or something like that) that wears out and has to be replaced periodically?

Also, it always has banged really loud during spin cycle when load not balanced, so have had to rearrange clothes; but I guess that is normal.

Thanks,
Tony

Looks like you have a washer dryer combo. The only thing I can think of that would make your noise is the gearcase.
