Frigidaire Dishwasher Model #FGBD2432KF1 has No Spray

Frigidaire Dishwasher Model #FGBD2432KF1 has No Spray
Realized when I went to empty what I thought was a cleaned load that there was no spray action. Timer counts down, washer fills and drains, heater runs....just no spray action. Cycled power for about 1 min off, no change.
Are there 2 pumps one for drain, one for spray? Or does it just somehow select the function?
What should I look at first.
Guess I shouldn't have patted myself on the back about fixing my furnace, huh?

Your unit has two motors. One is a pump which is obviously working ok since your unit does drain.
The other motor is a wash motor. It drives the water thru all the plumbing inside the unit.
See part # 70 in the link I left you. It is the wash motor.
I would check that motor for power before replacing. I'm sure it has an almost impossible to reach disconnect plug. Motor could be jammed too.
After you click on part # 70..... go to bottom of page for other tech info and help.

Thx PJ....so 70 is the wash motor and 71 is a smaller electrical driven pump? Does 14 include the wash pump or turbine? Just so I can understand what I'm looking at.
Jeez...$93 for a motor on a unit that only cost about $300 on sale 2-3 yrs ago? Shoulda just dealt with the 15 y/o unit that looked like crud but still worked.

Part 71 is a sensor and part 60 is the drain pump.
!4 does not include any mechanical parts......looks to be a plastic housing only.
You can shop around for best price. Just search motor part number.
Best price found so far. (didn't check out shipping)
Frigidaire Factory Part #154844301 | Only $56.52

Ok! Thanks buddy...I fell a bit better about starting on it (after I finish making 6 window sills for wifeys gym)....though I'm still chapped that it could be a broken part. Maybe I'll get luckky and its just something loose.

Update...just to let PJ know...
Finally pulled the lower panel off and did a voltage check (back spasmed up on me and couldn't get to it til today). 123VAC when it goes to spray cycle...no hum or anything from motor/pump. Will be ordering a new one today.
Of course the stupid design requires me to pull the washer out and tilt it on it's side just to remove 2 screws holding the locking bracket on. Minor design change and it could have been done from under the front panel.
Thanks for the assist....

I think they specifically addressed that over sight on the screws on that bracket. It's supposedly changeable from front panel.
When you click on the part number in the list....it takes you to a separate page with that part on it. If you look at bottom of page there are usually install or helpful tips. I grabbed the helpful tip for you.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Remove the kick panel. The pump is mounted to the bottom of the unit on a plastic bracket. The plastic bracket must be removed from the unit first because the screws that hold the pump to the bracket are not accessible while it is on the unit. Remove the wires to the pump and pull from under the unit. Now remove the bracket from the pump and put the bracket on the new pump in the same fashion it was on the old pump. Now mount the bracket back on the unit. re-attach the wires and re-establish power to the unit. Run it and check for leaks and normal operation. If there are no leaks, reinstall the kick panel.

Probably a little late to be of much help

No...I work real slow...lol. The back is still tight, so I had only pulled the kick panels and done the electrical test.
I'll check the parts page again and see if I can understand what they mean. THX again!
EDIT: I should add that pulling it out won't really be that big a deal. No flooring height issues and when I installed it I made sure I had plenty of wire and water supply hose (braided stainless) so I wouldn't have to try to make connections with it in place.. I can probably slide it out, tilt it and block it to do the swap.

Ok....got back to it today. Didn't leave myself as much room as I thought. Had to disconnect supply line at valve and remove a strap from drain line.
The directions you gave didn't apply to mine. No way the motor/pump was coming out til I pulled and tilted it. No plastic bracket involved, just a spring steel clamp with 2 screws. Saw several places that R&R was very model specific. Turns out there was some sort of o-ring leak, had some mineral buildup from drips just below motor. Windings were open and impeller was stiff to turn.
Confirmed item in stock...may see it by Sat. $70......still chafes me a bit. Could easily save some of the parts for install on a new motor.
Now I understand why my Dad (Frigidaire employee and Regional Service manager for 7 states for 10 yrs) really got ticked off at the engineers.
