Loud knocking on spin cycle

My washer also makes loud noises as the spin cycle advances and stops when it is over. The wash cycle is ok. The size of the load doesnt matter. Any suggestions?

Maytag microwave humming

Maytag MMV5465AAS microwave Woke up one morning to find the circuit breaker tripped. Reset the breaker and the microwave was humming. Not as if it was running necessarily, but a somewhat loud steady hum. When we open the door the humming stops. When we close the door again the humming starts again. The display on the control panel hasn't worked for a couple years now. It displays for a few seconds at a time once a month or so, but the display seems to work a little more often now. The microwave works very well. It even seems as though it heats faster than it used to, but that could be my imagination. The light works. The moving glass tray works. What is making it hum and is it something I can fix myself without getting electrocuted?Read More

Dishwasher Overflows but Fill Valve, Float Switch, and Draining All Work!

I have a Frigidaire FDB520RHS2 dishwasher and it is now overflowing with water despite the following: * My fill valve works flawlessly. * The float switch also works perfectly; I have tested it 5-6 times in disbelief. * It only overflows an hour to an hour and a half into the cycle (which is 2 hours). * There is no soap or rinse aid involved with my testing. * The draining works every time; any time I cancel the cycle, it drains for 90 seconds and never fails. * I took apart the spray arm and everything else under it inside and cleaned thoroughly. * I have the drain hose in a bucket on my workbench about 18" off the floor. If the fill valve and float switch are working, what else could be causing it?Read More
