part locating help
A chest freezer I'm trying to fix up needs a new gasket (on the lid). I haven't had any luck being able to search/google etc to find that specific part for that specific model. Perhaps somebody else might have a better search method or know a source where I can get the lid gasket for General Electric model FCM 15SAB model chest freezer. Sticker says the freezer was manufactured in 1998. thanks for any help/suggestions

Yep that would be it, thanks pugsl. I realized I had been searching for the part with two last letters from the model number not included, those were WH. If I search using FCM 15SAB WH then I can locate the model/parts. I just assumed the WH wasn't necessary, that it just indicated the color (white), and that it didn't need to be included, but I was wrong about that. Anyway, the part cost 85 bucks,
quite a chunk of change! Maybe can get it cheaper someplace (doubtful though, much cheaper anyway).
