blown dishwasher drain pump
What would cause a drain pump in a dishwasher to blow if all lines are clear? Im on my 3rd pump in 3 months. I think im going to buy a new one but this one is only a 2009. Any suggestions before I buy one would be great.

Three pumps in three months
What is actually happening ?
Are the motor windings burning up ?
Is the pump freezing up (stalling) ?
Do you use liquid or powered dish washing soap ?
Make and model of unit would help too.
As a rule......those pump motors seem to be pretty reliable.

A few questions to add to PJmax's questions;
What type of water are you on (well or city)?
Have you checked your drain filter/basket to make sure it's clean?
Assuming this is a built in dishwasher and you can see the lines when you remove it to replace the pumps, have you looked at the hosing to see if there is anything blocking the hose(s)?

Im on well water. The filters come out quite easily and I clean them once a week. When changing the pump I can see all of the lines and after installing the new pump it worked fine half a dozen times, then back to no drain.
