Samsung dishwasher

I have model DMR57LFW with an HE error on the panel . the unit is a 2009 model but brand new never used still in the box when i got it used for one week and then the error came on. It seems to indicate its the heater element but if anyone has experience with these id rather not go changing parts before i get some more ideas.

The HE fault code does pertain to the heating element.

You will need to use an ohmmeter to check for continuity on the heater element. That's the only way to confirm the problem.

Make sure power is disconnected from unit before testing. Set your meter to Rx1 scale. The heating element has two connection points that stick down thru tub into area under unit. While you are down there....... make sure the wire connections to the element are tight.

I can't answer that question without the service manual or schematic for that unit.
