Frig/Freezer not staying cool at night

The last few mornings, when I open the frig/freezer, it is not very cold. After opening door a few times, I hear the frig kick on, and it cools down and stays cold during the day (we have 4 kids, so it's opened a lot during the day). Then the next morning, it's like the frig hasn't run all night. anybody ever heard of this happening?

First I would get a thermometer and put it inside the fridge or freezer and start keeping track of the temperatures. This will help take the "feel" factor out and give you a more definitive sense of what's going on.

Since you say it's cooling during the day but not at night I would confirm that the doors are securely closed before going to bed. It's possible that something in the fridge the last couple nights is preventing the door from closing all the way.
