Smile Replugging In A Fridge

I went and got a fridge today. The guys that loaded it in the truck for me laid it on it's side which I'm only 3 mins from my house and it was on it's side not even an hour. Should I wait 24 hours or should 6-8 hours be good enough considering it was only a short amount of time compared to say moving totally across town, to another city, and all that. It's already been sitting up almost 5 hours so I'm just wondering if maybe 3 more hours or so should be okay because the fridge I have our food is keeps freezing everything even our eggs, cheese, just everything and that's even on 1 and it's not our fridge. It's a cousins fridge so I'd like to clean hers out, save our food from more being thrown away and all that. Any help would be great.

It's Best to wait

ITis best to wait as long as possible but if you have to have the fridge before the 24 hr window go with it

I've heard to let them set for as long as they were laying on their side or back. Of course, that was no scientific study.
