Kenmore 80 Series Washer will Not always spin.
My Kenmore 80 Series washer will not always spin, but I can hear the motor running. I could get it to spin when I opened and closed the lid a few times, so I bypassed the lid switch to allow it to spin with the lid open. However, I still have the same problem. I can get it to spin cycle to engage by moving the timer forward a few clicks or all the way around. I checked the motor coupler, its fine. I replaced the clutch inner ring assembly (I tried both spring sizes). Still the same problem. HELP?

Welcome to the forums.
When the tub is done draining the timer will shut down the motor for a few seconds. When it restarts the machine will be in spin.
The tub is allowed 2-3 minutes to drain before the pause. If you don't get that pause the timer is defective. That pause is the same thing as opening the lid for a few seconds.
