Maytag Bravos Washer
Our washer (top load MTW6700) recently started throwing unbalanced load (UL) code and pausing the cycle with around 12 minutes left. For a while, opening the lid, closing the lid and pressing start would "fix" it and the cycle would complete. Running loads on the delicate cycle seemed to help cycles run to completion, but lately that seems to be a failing endeavor too.
Where do I start with this? How can I put the machine into self-diagnostic mode, if it has one?
thanks,
Maurice

How old is washer? several things could be wrong (I hate that code) 1. control board 2. support rods
and possible other things, With that code I would call Sears and see if they would sell a extended Warranty. May take several tries to fix.

Finally getting back to this...the washer was mfd in July 2008. I'm currently wondering if there is a suspension rod/spring issue. I opened the top and saw that all rods are connected with nothing broken that I can see. I haven't removed any to check for broken/stretched springs, but the tub assembly seems to want to locate toward the right side of the cabinet.
