Whirlpool Dishwasher Wont Dry

I have a Whirlpool dishwasher Model WDF510PAYS2. The dishwasher want dry the way that it use to do. The drying agent does not go down. Is there something wrong with it? Does it need to be replaced? Is there any way that it can be tested before buying another one?

Welcome to the forums.

Failure of the heating element is a fairly common problem. You will need a meter to check to see if it's defective. I left a link below. When you open it....scroll down to check the element video for testing instructions.

The same test can be applied to the drying agent release mechanism. For that you would have to pull the inside of the door liner off. Usually it's held on with several visible Philips head screws.

Turn power off to unit before attempting any repairs.

If hot air is coming out of the door vent at the top should not the heating element be working?

No.... I never use heated drying in my dishwasher and still have heated air coming from the door vent until the dishes cool off from the hot water.

Whirlpool Dishwasher want dry

The heating element is working, because I took it out and checked the continuity and it was good. Should there be water in the bottom where the big filter is located or should it be dry? There is just a little there.

Whirlpool dishwasher drying agent dispenser

I bought a a drying agent dispenser and it fixed the problem, but now the dispenser leaks from the bottom of the dispenser. What causes this and how can I fix it?

I'm not sure what's leaking in yours. You could take it off and look at the back.
