Kenmore Dryer Model 417.84052500 makes loud noise when started cold
Hi,
My Kenmore dryer model 417.84052500 makes a loud grumbling noise when I start it cold. The noise lasts for about a minute, then stops. Otherwise the dryer works fine.
I replaced both the belt and the bearing assembly to no effect (now I hear an intermittent rattling noise when I run it).
Any advice would be appreciated.

Are you saying it makes a humming sound and than ti starts? If it does usually the motor is going bad.

Thanks for your response. It makes the humming sound after it starts. It's pretty loud for about a minute, then sounds almost normal (there's still the rattle/vibration sound).

After it starts or before (before usually motor) After I have never heard it. Rattle sound could be blower wheel loose on shaft and will need to be replaced.
