Roper fridge

Mo.# RS25AGXNQ02. Moved unit to paint and disconnected the water line but kept unit running for a few days. Hooked water back up and ice chute was frozen and water only dripped from water dispenser. Bad move but I taped the water dispenser down hoping the steady drip would melt the ice. Well ice melted and now I get ice maker but no water dispenser. Any ideas? I have switched micro switches and no change. Thanks.

There is a dual water valve in the back bottom of the fridge where the water line connects.
You can check both for continuity or check for power at the drinking water side of the valve.
The valve wasn't designed for continous operation and probably overheated.

The following link has a video test procedure in it for testing the valve.
