Freezers that reach -10F to -20F?
I am trying to pick a good freezer that is affordable (Under < $200) that can reach -10F to -20F. I am looking to make some tasty sushi.
Does any deep freezer or chest freezer reach this temperature? I found some around $120 - $200 on Walmart. (GE, black & decker, danby, Haier, 1.7-7.0 cu-ft)...
Would any chest freezer work? Or which brand would you guys recommend? Thanks

Welcome to the forums.
You definitely want a non self defrosting type of chest freezer. Maintaining -10f should be no problem for most models. -20f could be an issue.
It would appear that some of the name brands will go lower in temperature but that comes with a price.

PJmax Thanks for the warm welcome.
I am goign to be eating a lot of raw sushimi, and I know freezing kills parasites... and so its important I get the lowest possible temperatures. -10F for 7 days should be good enough, but I want to maximize my chances of safety so I prefer somewhere closer to -20F.
Most of the freezers seem to be manual / non self defrost and chest freezer seems better than upright - especially with manual types.
I've also noticed, Haier and Danby seem the most expensive so they are probably colder than the other brands? GE and Black & Decker seems to be right behind them in terms of cost.
Which brand would you recommend that are usually coldest? You can PM me if you'd like instead.
And for freezing anywhere between 10-30+ lbs of fish / meat, what size should I get that would maintain the coldest temps? 3 Cu- Ft? 5 cu- Ft?
