Hotpoint washing machine spins and drains but will not agitate.
I have a Hotpoint washing machine model #VLSR109G3WW
It recently overflooded the kitchen due to a clogged pressure chamber. I had to remove the agitator and the "inner tub" to get to the pressure chamber. The washing machine worked great for a few days, then we started to notice that it began to smell like burning rubber or plastic when used. After a few days of that, it started agitating slow, now it wont agitate at all. I checked to see if it spins and drains which it does. I assume the transmission works well. I cant seem to figure out where the smell comes from. How can I tell if it is a motor issue or a timer issue.
Your thoughts and suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the forums.
You left out a number in the model number. I'm guessing it's a 0... VLSR1090G3WW
Did you damage the plastic block that connects the agitator to the transmission spline ?
The block is a common failure item.

You mentioned you smelled rubber burning. This washer uses a belt. You need to check it to see if it's loose, slipping or worn out.
