Maytag Refrigerator PBF2555HES plugged in but no power

We woke up this morning and when my wife opened the refrigerator she noticed it was not very cool and the digital lights were out. I pulled the refrigerator from the wall and unplugged the cord. When I plugged it back in the the fridge came back on and started cooling. The lights came back on too. It appears to be working again. The fridge is will be 10 years old in October and we had to replace the compressor last year.

Does anyone have any idea what this could be?

How long do refridgerators usually last?

Thanks!!!!

Not a terribly easy problem to diagnose......

It sounds like there may have been a temporary power interruption/glitch.
Otherwise you may have a problem with the digital control panel.

Unfortunately... ten years for most appliances today is a fairly good run.

I was wondering what the age of a refrigerator would be. So 10 years is a good run huh? Seems to be ok now, i'll keep an eye one it as we already sank in a good amount of money last year for the compressor.

I would keep an eye on it. This may have just been a one time thing. Intermittent problems can be so hard to diagnose.
