whirlpool compressor problem

hello, I have a whirlpool ED5PHEXMT00 side by side frig. it stopped cooling. the fan is running and lights are on. I can hear a click at from the compressor starter and a very slight buzz from the compressor but it does not run. it does get hot.
how can do I know if it is the starter or the compressor?
thanks for your help.

You need to take the starting relay apart to see if it's burned/damaged. Your fridge may also use a capacitor for starting. I would order the kit and the capacitor (if yours has it). In the link below is the part and there is a video posted there that will walk you thru the repair or at least familiarize yourself with what you are working with.

You may not need the capacitor. I carry them with me and they are not always needed.
