Freezer OK, lower part not cold

Electrolux Home Products
Model: FRT1884AW4
S/N: BA20306759

This unit recently started not cooling the lower refrigerator section. The freezer seems OK.

Also can you tell me how old this fridge is?

Thank you!!

Because of the way they date appliances with the serial number..... this product may have been manufactured January of 2002 or 2012.

I can't seem find the service info on your fridge. Can you double check the model number for me.

Some basic things to check. Clean/vacuum the coils and fan underneath the unit. In a kitchen this area is prone to getting clogged with dust and kitchen grease. If the heat can't be removed the fridge won't get cold. Does it seem like the compressor underneath is running all the time ?

Does changing the temperature adjustments make any difference ?

Correction: Model is FRT18B4AW4

I pulled off back panel in freezer. There is light frost on evaporator coil and the fan seems to work fine.

It does not seem to get colder when setting in lower section is changed.

Thanks for the model number. I'm leaving but will be back later.

You need to check the condensor coil and fan..... under the fridge.
