I have a Kenmore 970-729722,,,,i think made by GE. It is only 1.5yrs old and the freezer keeps freezing up. The back cover we removed and it was chock of block with ice. We defrosted and a week later it is doing it again. Can anyone help???? thanks

Something is probably wrong with the defrost circuit. Do you have a volt meter or electrical tester? The fridge has a time that turns off the compressor and turns on a heater located below the coil. There is also usually a sensor attached to the coils. If any one of those things is not working you probably are not getting a defrost. One of the more common failures is the heater so I'd check it first.
