Question Maytag QuietSeries 300 (MDB8600AW) Dishwasher Won't Wash

I have a Maytag QuietSeries 300 (MDB8600AW) dishwasher.

It has periodically refused to drain. I've always been able to resolve this by taking it apart until I can get to the screened drain at the bottom of the tub, removing the clog, and putting it back together. Otherwise this dishwasher has been a champ.

At first I thought today's problem was more of the same. I found it with water pooled at the bottom, not drained. But further investigation led me to this: When I start the dishwasher, it fills with water, then nothing. I hear no hum, there is no water sloshing around inside, the arm is not spinning. After a couple minutes of doing nothing, it turns off (with the water undrained).

Is this likely the wash motor? Or a control board? Is there anyway for me to know the difference?

For some reason I missed this thread. Sometimes they don't appear on my screen right away.
Did you get your problem resolved ?

There should be a tech sheet with diagnostic routines under the machine. Usually it's rolled or folded in a plastic bag and can be found under the front kickpanel. If you can't find it or it's missing.... send me a private message with your email address and I'll send it to you. It's too big of a file to post on this site.

PJMax, I am unable to find that tech sheet. Would you please email it to me? I'll send you a PM with my email address.
