washer filling with water after spin cycle

Maytag legacy series washer, maybe 8 yes old. Goes through washing process, then at the end of the spin cycle it fills with water until it is full. Trying to figure out what is broken and how to fix. Model # is mav208daww. Thanks.

So even though it goes through the rest of the cycle no problem, a faulty timer can cause it to fill back up after the spin cycle?

Are you saying it fills up after final spin and then just stops? Extra rinse switch is OFF? In that case, yes, a faulty timer would be the only cause.

Yeah that's what's happening. All right I'll give that a try. Thanks for the advice and link.
