I have a 6 year old small Frigidaire with a small freezer on top. THis model is about 2 times the size of a compact size. Still quite small. I noticed it didnt turn on the compressor 3 times now in the last 3 months.I had to unplug it and then plug it in and the latest time I shut off the breaker and then reset it. It seems to need a small que to kick on the compressor but it gets plenty cold and doesnt make any funny noises.I would guess it is the thermostat switch ....is it hard to install a new one?? please reply if you know about compressor repair..

I have a Frigidaire refrigerator with an ice maker that wants to do nothing but drizzle water into the ice bucket. It hasn't made any ice in about two days. I tried defrosting the icemaker itself with a hair blow drier, and I did get rid of all the visible traces of ice, but the problem didn't get any better. According to my remote thermometer, the freezer section gets down into the single digits (°F) just a few minutes after the door is closed. Is this something that might be cured if I shut down the fridge until it thaws through-and-through, or should I call a repairman?
