Add ice maker to GE TBF 15s

Is it possible to install an ice maker on a refrigerator that was not built for one?
Such as drilling hole in back to run water and power. Use a separate power supply.
What is meant by 'critical' water level?

You didn't leave the complete model number but an ice maker is shown for your group. That means the fridge is wired for an ice maker but there are caps or covers over the screw holes and ports. The ice maker would be part # WR30X10093

The remainder of the number is ZM 546938. There are no caps, plugs, ports or evidence of ice maker preparation. I have an ice maker for a later model GE frige and would like to install it.
