Frigidaire FRT18IL6JW7 Refrigerator
one thing after another. first a frozen drain line before we went on vacation. of course, it stop working all together, when we were gone. luckily, daughter was home to check on things. she unplugged it, and when she plugged, it back in everything worked fine then. but now, the freezer is frosting over. ( frost free )
and the refrigerator is not staying cold ???
any ideals what's going on. so maybe I can get the parts and get it fix!
Thanks
Ron

You need to manually put the timer in defrost and see if the defrost heater that is attached to the evaporator coil is heating. The timer will have a place for a screwdriver where you can turn it. You'll hear the compressor and fans stop. That's defrost mode. The timer is pictorial # 23. The timer is located in the fridge section where the bulb housing is. The picture can be expanded for more helpful detail.

Thanks for the help Pjmax. I did replace the defrost timer, I think the old one was shot. but the refrigerator, still seems to warm yet. I have the temperature control knob, all the way to the coldest setting. any ideals why ?

There's more to the defrost system than just the timer.
You said the coil is frosting over...... or is it freezing over ?
If it freezes over there will be no or reduced airflow thru it.
Have you also cleaned and vacuumed the coils and the fan under the fridge ?
