Kenmore Series 9 Washer Does not drain

I have a Kenmore Series 90 Top Loading Washing Machine, Model # 110.20922991 Type 111. The machine will work in the wash cycle until it gets to the drain cycle and then stops. If I manually turn the know pass the drain cycle to the Rinse cycle it will continue to work but when it gets to the drain cycle again it stops again and does not drain the water. Also if I turn the knob to the spin cycle it does not work either. There is no humming or noise. Any ideas what to do?

OK, I bypass the switch and still it does not work but while doing that I noticed that the Main knob that allows switching on the machine (switch between the rinse/wash mode is turning all around and seems to be damaged. It looks like that main switch is damaged. Where can I find information on buying a new main switch and installing it? Thanks for helping

There isn't actually a main switch. There is a timer assembly. It's what is connected to the main knob. The timer is a Whirlpool part # 3953248. You can search using that part number, check the links below or check with your local appliance parts retailer.

Many online parts places sell their parts with a 365 day guaranty. If the part doesn't fix the problem - send it back for a refund.

PJ,
Thanks for the response. The link you posted has 2 parts. Are these the same part but different supplier? They both says "Timer"
