Can I change my whirlpool fridge bulb to LED?

I need a replacement bulb for my fridge. I've become a fan of LED's but it dawned on me I have never had to change the bulb in a fridge! lol Assuming the size is the same, is there any reason why I can't replace the incandescent with an LED? I don't know much about a fridges wiring.

Thank you.

PS - If it matters, the fridge model # is GB2FHDXWS08

If its a direct replacement, sure you could, but why? LEDs are still kind of expensive, appliance bulbs are cheap. It's only on for MAYBE a few minutes total a day, so there would be no cost savings.

They last forever anyway, probably due to the cold?
