Unlocking an oven

Have an Amana "Big Oven" with the self cleaning feature. Somehow it became locked, as it does when you employ the self-cleaning process...others have access to the oven. Wouldn't be a problem except there's a large frying pan in the oven....can't start a self-clean. Any ideas....?
Thanx....Charlie
PS...owner no longer has the I.M.

Just for your future reference AMANA THE BIG OVEN ACF4205A TROUBLESHOOTING MANUAL Pdf Download.

Page 15 deals with the self cleaning feature and how to interrupt it.

You can interrupt the clean at several minutes into the clean.

Some ranges have a direct method for unlocking the oven door.
I'd need the oven model number to check further.
