KitchenAid KUDE60 dishwasher problems

KitchenAid KUDE60 lower arm not functioning, it spins freely but no water appears to flow through it.

I removed it along with the rear wall spray and all looked well. There's a red valve in the supply leading to it, looks like it might be a disc, which might divert water from the lower arm to the rear wall spray but I'm not sure what it does or where to begin diagnosis.

Help appreciated.

KitchenAid KUDE60 part dangling, what is it?

Posted earlier about a lower spray arm which isn't working right, I suspect water intended for it is being diverted to the rear spray assembly. While snooping around underneath, I discovered this white part dangling.

What is it and should we be concerned?

Trying

I removed the spray arm assembly to the point of accessing the red diverter disc. Was in hope of finding some crud or something like that. Readily removed the disc and all was clear. The two holes are in positions at roughly 8:00 and 6:00 from a perspective of looking from the front of the machine.

There was a little play as I tried rotating the disc, exactly what I'd expect from something mounted to a small motor. Appears to be part number W10155344, how do I test it and what next?

Wire harness to that part appears to have a fuse, but I could not get a visual to the cable from the front access panelm unless I was looking for the wrong thing.
