Front load washer door latch broke twice

Other than leveling what can cause latch on washer to break this is the one in the washer which cost $100 each.

Front load washer broke twice

While trying to install new latch on whirlpool 4000 I noticed the bar holding wires behind latch is loose. Any tricks to attaching before I try running washer?

ype does not help need a actual model # usually found in door area. That only holds wires and it does flop around. Think I know what washer you have but can help better if I can see washer. Leveling has nothing to do with door lock breaking. usually door hinge is broken or door has been bent down. What part of latch broke? If a older Maytag model # is in back of console. Have to look over top and you will see it. `

No common reason lock breaks. You have a Maytag built by Whirlpool, Have replaced many of those locks but not many for breakage. Does you washer Shake heavily while in spin?
