Frigidaire Gallery Dryer gets so hot it burns clothes even on lowest setting-
I have a Frigidaire dryer model FDE648GHS0, that has recently started getting so hot it is burning clothes, leaving marks on them and melting logos on shirts, even on the lowest setting. The lint trap is clean and has been vacuumed out. Is there some sort of an adjustment I can make to it somewhere? What can I do? Any help is much appreciated.

Clean out the vent to the outside first. Easy way to check is disconnect vent at back of dryer , Start dryer and feel air flow, reconnect vent and go outside and feel air flow, Should be about same. Most dryer overheat is a clogged vent. Also while the vent is off dryer start and run dryer for several minutes, dryer should heat and cool. If you have a thermometer put directly in air flow should heat to around 150 and cool to around 100 Low side is not very important. Closest model # I could get to work is FDE648GHT0

It is a valid model number Don but not at sears parts direct for some reason.

It's actually pretty rare for an electric dryer to run that hot. One reason could be a partially blocked exhaust system like that which was mentioned but it can also be a defective (shorting element) or defective cycling thermostat.
