whirlpool fridge not cooling

Hello, there,

My Whirlpool side by side refrigerator, ED5GTGXNQ00, MFG date 07-04, stopped working before Christmas. After looking for from internet, I thought that the defrost timer may be broken. I bought a defrost timer board and changed it. The fridge worked one day and stopped again. We touched the board and the the connectors, the fridge worked for several hours and stopped again. So we touch the connector, works and then stopped. We check the wires and the connectors, they are very well. We change back the old defrost timer and the same thing happens: touch the connectors, fridge works, several hours later, stops working, again and again in this holidays. My fridge becomes a manual machine, not auto.

Dose anybody know what's wrong about my fridge?

Thank you so much.
And happy new year.

Welcome to the forums.

Did you buy a new control board ? Bad solder on those boards.... especially around the relay.... is a common problem. The only other thing that comes to mind is that one of the pins has a loose slide fitting.

the new control board dose the same thing. same as the picture. I checked the solder pins and the connector wires, they are good. so I come here to ask if other part is broken so that the trigger signal can not come to the control board.
I am not sure. could you help me more.

Thank you.
