GE oven baking element

Hi,

The bottom element on my GE JBP35DOK1WW oven turned bright red and actually had a small flame on it yesterday. Now the oven wont heat up. I have searched for the part number but the model number doesn't seem to come up. It is only 8 years old. Any advice?

thanks,
Bert

It appears you've posted an incorrect model number. Could it be JBP35DK1WW ?

In that series the bottom (bake) element is part # WB44T10011. You can use that part number to shop for the element.

Below is one of many online appliance parts companies....
GE Range/Stove/Oven Bake Element WB44T10011 Repair Clinic

Be sure to turn the power off to the stove before removing the element.
