Frigidaire Gallery ice maker - FGHB2866PF3
I've had nothing but trouble with this POS since I bought it 10 months ago. The auger motor was replaced twice, and the gasket and door alignment for the bottom freezer was also replaced. The ice maker tends to let the cubes clump together (thus causing the auger problems).
The latest (current) issue is this = trying to prevent another issue with the auger, I have been dumping all the ice from time to time (which is actually in the manual as a recommendation). I dumped the ice yesterday morning, and now the damn thing is not making any ice at all. There is water in the tray. The water dispenser is working fine. I "reset" the unit by cutting off power for 10 minutes (read that on another site). Finally I took a hair dryer and blew hot air into the ice maker compartment for 10 minutes to get any and all frost out (there was some - very little) in case something was frozen / stuck. Nothing. No ice, but again the tray does have water.
Any ideas ?.

So it turned out that all the way in the back of the unit where the fan is there was a pretty big clump of ice blocking the fan from running. Used the blow drier to melt it off, and now it is working. This is a horrible design.
