GE washer: intermittent timer knob

Hey guys,
I have a GE Washing machine model # WJSR1070A1WW. The washing machine will only start filling with water if I mess with the knob as shown in the attached video. If the knob is moved or knocked via vibration, the machine will stop and the knob will need to be messed with again. Is this an issue with the timer or should I be looking at something else?

Welcome to the forums.

That certainly looks like a tired timer. That timer is part # WH12X10149

The following link is one place the timer is available at. You could also take the part number to your local appliance parts retailer.
