occasional water puddle from bottom of refrigerator

our maytag 2 door upright, with ice maker and water dispenser, works perfectly, except for one thing. about once a week a puddle of water forms under the refrigerator side. I suppose this is related to the defrost cycle. there is a white plastic pan under the freezer side that might be there to act as an evaporative pan of some sort. I cannot see any kind of hose that drains into that plastic pan. does anyone have any thoughts?? there are no funny noises, and I can't relate the timing or the size of the puddle to anything at all.

Post the model #.
Freezer at the top?
Most have a panel in the back of the freezer that comes off to get access to the drain line.
If you check out "repairclinic.com" there's repair help, trouble shooting, parts break downs with prices and some times even video's on how to do the repair.
