Maytag washer problems (MHWE200XW00)

my daughter has this washer and it just started the other day. when she runs it, it just continuosly fills with hot water. even if cold is selected it runs hot. removing the wire from the hot valve stops the water so the valve is still closing. then it started throwing codes. first it was a suds code. then a slow fill code. i dont have the numbers right here with me. i will post more information as i get it, but any ideas about what it can be?

Did you disconnect & reconnect the machine, from the wall outlet? Try that first. It may reset it.

If you were getting an LF code you may have a defective fill valve.

Let us know what you've seen as far as codes.

Model # is mhwe200xw00. 2 zeros on end. Will need code but one thing to check. Take top off and check the control board in the right front corner. I have found many that are broken, May hang loose or case is cracked. If this is the case can cause all kinds of problems.

okay, my daughter replaced the pressure switch because she said the codes all reffferenced it in the manual. i think its in the control circuits. is there any way to test the two control boards to figure out which one it is without replaceing both? im thinking its more the lower one not the one that the knobs are connected to in the top of the machine. it seams to be more of a computer issue, the lower module. any ideas?

Be sure to run diagonastics found about page 4 and give us all the codes. Been a year since I worked on one but may still remember some of them.
