Whirlpool dishwasher blinking lights

I have a whirlpool dishwasher model DU1145XTPBA. The pots & pans, normal and some times the light wash lights blink. The dishwasher does not respond to any buttons being pushed. I replaces the thermal fuse, tried resetting the panel. If I can get the lights to stop blinking, it's only for a couple hours. If I start the dishwasher while not glashing, it will start and run but not a full cycle. Trying to decide if I should fix or dispose. Is this problem most likely the control panel or the control board ?? I would replace one or the other, but not both. Thank you in advance for any suggestions.

I believe the blinking lights may be a trouble code,or at least they are on mine,do you have the owners manual or maybe search for one on line that will tell you what the code means.

Welcome to the forums.

Many times the lights will flash if the heating element is bad or going bad. It can be checked with an ohmmeter for open or leaks to ground.

There is the keypad assembly where you have the buttons and the lights and then there is the control board. The control board is the most likely problem. Many online sellers offer a one year money back guarantee. The board is part # W10084141.
