Kenmore Oasis Washer getting louder during spin

I have a Kenmore Oasis washer model # 110.27062603. The spin cycle keeps getting louder and louder as time goes on. Any help where to look for problem would be appreciated. Some searches referred to clutch, but speaking with sears chat, there is no clutch on this model.

They are correct.... there is no clutch. Yours is a direct drive machine. No gearbox or transmission.

I'm not familiar with this machine but the only thing I can think of is the hub is going bad or a bearing. Apparently bearings are an issue. See the video and if it pertains to your machine.

Very common problem with your machine. Have replaced many bearings and tub assy for bad bearings.
Here is the bearing kit # W10435302. Also there is a special tool for it. A lot of times the basket is stuck on shaft and will not come off. you might call Kenmore to see if they extended any warranty's on this. Don't think they did but can't hurt to try.

Ok, well, I found something today. This used fridge has an icemaker, but the arm is up, the bin and screw feed mechanism are gone, and no water hookup. Well, I was putting some stuff on the top shelf and my hand brushed against the bottom of the actual ice maker. It was WARM! I know this must be what slightly warms the cubes so they get pushed out, but how do I turn it off? Can't be part of the normal defrost cycle can it? There's a plug from the ice maker to a socket in the freezer wall. I assume that needs to be pulled out? Do I just pry it out? Didn't seem to move just pulling on it. Model Hotpoint GSX24GR EDIT...Just went back to give it another try at pulling the plug or maybe removing the whole thing to get more freezer space, now it's cold!
