Refrigerator is making high pitched noise
My fridge is making a high pitched noise. It doesn't seem to stop. Is this the compressor? It is a Frigedaire FGHC2331PFAA

I believe the unit is now cooling. I heard the fan kick in. The high pitched noise is less noticeable.

A typical source of a high pitched squeal is the fan inside the cold compartment. Try opening the refrigerator door, next time you hear it, and see if it stops.
