Dishwasher not cleaning.
It's a Kenmore model KUDS01DJSB0 and it's worked great until recently. Now it is not cleaning, especially the top rack. I can't get to the filter but have already cleaned a bunch of stuff out of it with just my fingers. Listen to the audio and see if you can help me.

Thanks in advance

Welcome to the forums.
That model number you posted is for a Kitchenaid appliance.
The following video is for a drain check valve replacement but it illustrates how to get to it and the covers to be removed. See if this helps you.

Weird. I guess the parts are similar and listed under the same model. I probably just wrote down the wrong one
Anyway, there wasn't a "foreign object protector". But based on what I pulled out of there, I'm thinking I might need one! Among what i pulled out, half a plastic chopstick and a pair of Barbie sunglasses (I have no children and I own no barbies). Maybe the first time I tried to get it off there I just wasn'tf holding my mouth right, because I went back and wiggled it a little and it came right off.
Maybe this was why it wasn't cleaning. Any suggestions on prevention of this kind of thing?

That is very bad. Are you putting your dishes in without scraping ? No need to rinse but that looks like a lot of debris.
You may also have an issue with the unit draining. Make sure the drain line is attached up high under the countertop in a big loop like shown in the illustration.
