Whirlpool Washer will only work in spin cycle

Model # WTW57ESVW0

For some odd reason the washer does not work in no other setting except the spin cycle. Had clothes washing, lifted the lid to add bleach. Turned the knob to extend the wash time, nothing. Changed from cold water to hot water, nothing. Only when I put it in the spin cycle it works. Any suggestion on where to begin. Thank you so much for any help you can give me.

Just checked will not even fill, at all.

Replace the load sense switch (fabric softener switch). This is a load sensing machine and you should not lift the lid once it is running as this will reset the load sense board.
