Sub-zero refridge side not cooling....

...we have a model 561 Sub zero side by side. In 8/2011 we had a problem with the freezer side not sufficiently chilling and replaced the defrost timer that cured that problem. Now the refridge side is giving me something to worry about.
During the recent heat wave the refridge side would at times creep up to around 58 degrees and maybe, just maybe at times fall to around 40. Temps are taken by refridge digital thermometers.
- The condenser is clear as far as I can tell after I soft brushed, vacuumed and used low pressure air to further clean the fins.
-The fan works as I tested it with the door open and the switch depressed. Door open it is OFF, door alledgedly closed it is ON.
-The fan on top runs constantly but I believe that is normal for the model.
-It seems odd that ALL of the components in the top compartment are HOT and I mean HOT to the touch. Even the thin capillary lines seem hot.
- The two bulb like copper features, that I believe are the dryers, next to the evaporator coil also feel hot.
Any ideas, Where should I start. Could the refridgerant be low? Could that the replacement timer is stuck? Even though it appears to be running, but not sure it is advancing

If the unit is hot and runs continuously it sounds like it's low on refrigerant. Those units are plagued by leaking evaporator coils. I would call a factory authorized repair service and have it checked.
