What is up with my Hotpoint side by side.
Every once in a while (1st time a couple of weeks ago and then twice in the last three days) I get a puddle of water on the corner of the freezer side (near the cabinets naturally). I swear the door wasn't left cracked open. It's not quite level so it swings closed naturally. Gasket is in good shape and seems to seal all around.
Is it possible the drain (?) for defrosting water is clogged? Or am I really just not pushing it closed enough?
I'm not sure how the defrost cycle works, but I guess if it doesn't happen all the time, it's an operator error issue? I made sure nothing in the door is causing a loss of seal. Guess I just need to push it closed better?

Happened again this afternoon. Finally pulled the bottom drawer out and saw 1/4" of ice in the bottom as well as in the little trough in the back where the drain is with a bit standing water in the drain. Ran a wire down the drain and cleaned out all the ice. Felt a bit of resistance when pushing the wire down then none the next push.
I'm hoping what happened was that I did actually leave the door open the first time and it clogged the drain somehow. Then each defrost cycle added a little more ice til it started overflowing during defrost cycles.
Pulling it out for access is a major PITA. Heck, just me getting down on the floor to pull the front grill off is a chore.
