Samsung RF265AB freezer problem

Hi, we've had this fridge/freezer for at least 5 or more years and never a problem. All of the sudden the freezer isnt keeping things frozen. The thermostat is set to -2 but everything is soft. Its not completely broken b/c everything isnt completely melted. Last night we dropped the temp to -4 and everything is still the same. I checked and it seems like the door is closing completely. We do have an 18 month old who loves to hang near the fridge. But he wasnt up last night I can tell you that :-)

Short of calling in for repair visit, anything I can DIY?

Usually it's the fridge that won't stay cold enough.

Do me a favor and post the complete model number. It should be on a tag in the fridge.

If the fridge/freezer door spends excessive time open the coil can become frozen over as it can't defrost fast enough.

After I have the complete model I look into it further.....one question.... does it seem like the compressor is running continuously ?

The full model number is RF266ABBP and then that's it. The BOM has an additional /XAA next to the model. Is that enough to tell?

As far as the compressor no it doesn't seem like it's running constantly.

Any ideas?
